About
Us
The
Rescue Mission Alliance has four thrift stores that
sells good quality, low cost previously owned merchandise
for sale. The revenue generated by the thrift sales
helps support the ongoing work of the outreach ministries
of the Rescue Mission Alliance. You can help feed the
hungry and care for the homeless by donating usable
clothing, shoes, knick-knacks, etc. In our Thrift Stores,
we provide job training, offer low-cost goods to the
community, and 100% of the profit is put to use feeding
the hungry, sheltering the homeless, and helping people
become productive citizens again.
Our vocational training program offers
a new beginning to Mission program men and the Lighthouse
program women. They learn skills such as: Data Entry,
Truck Driver, Fork Lift Operator, Retail Store Management,
Stock Clerks, Cashiers, Security Officers, Loss Prevention
Managers, Administrative Assistants, Telemarketers,
Auto Mechanics, Sales, General Construction, and Building
Maintenance. Currently the Rescue Mission Alliance operates
two thrift stores in the Ventura County area and two
in the San Fernando Valley.
