Rescue Mission Director (posted 7/23/10)

Rescue Mission Alliance, a faith based NPO, is seeking an experienced and motivated Director for the Ventura County Rescue Mission ministries to homeless men, women and children. Responsibilities include program organization, planning, budgeting, staff recruiting and development, and improving program outcome measures. Director will model commitment to the ministry of fund-raising and lead community and church relations. Bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years ministry experience required. Successful candidate must be a mature Christian with exemplary character and proven leadership skills. Strong communication, administration and problem solving skills required. Ventura County Rescue Mission Men’s Program is seeking a mature Christian Chaplain. The Chaplain position is under the supervision of the Program Manager. Responsibilities include: teach biblically based 12-step classes and other recovery related classes, counsel men, provide case management, and assist with the daily operations and activities. Requirements: Completion of formal biblical training, college, or seminary. Three years of rescue ministry or equivalent experience. Counseling certificate, ministry license preferred.
